UGC - NET December 2023 - Opening of the online portal for submission of Online Application Form

The NTA has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC- NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for 'Assistant Professor' and 'Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor' in Indian universities and colleges. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC - NET December 2023 for 'Junior Research Fellowship' and eligibility for 'Assistant Professor' in 83 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. It is a national level test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.

The UGC NET exam is held twice a year, in June and December. It is a computer-based test that consists of two papers: Paper I is a general aptitude test, while Paper II is a subject-specific test.

To be eligible for the UGC NET exam, candidates must have a master's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. The minimum required percentage of marks in the master's degree varies depending on the category of the candidate.
