Bhopal, June 25, 2025 : The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India unveiled a series of transformative initiatives aimed at uplifting communities and empowering over 100,000 beneficiaries across the country in 2025-26. The announcement was made during a press conference held at 3:00 PM at Motel Shiraz, Bhopal, led by Association President Mrs. Jyoti Mahipal. Joining her were Mrs. Vibha Singh, District Chairman of Inner Wheel District-304 (2025-26), Mrs. Shashi Shukla, Event Convener, Mrs. Rita Verma, Co-Convener, and Mrs. Neha Sheriff, Club President of the Inner Wheel Club of Bhopal.
In her address, Mrs Jyoti Mahipal, 50th Association President of Inner Wheel Clubs in India introduced the Association’s ambitious agenda for the year, centered on fostering innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth. “Our vision is to create a better world by empowering communities through education, health, and environmental stewardship,” she stated. The initiatives reflect the Association’s three-year theme, Reach for a Better World and Inspire for a Better World, which calls for future-oriented programs aligned with global challenges and opportunities.
Mrs. Vibha Singh, District Chairman of Inner Wheel District-304, emphasized the local impact of these initiatives, stating, “Bhopal is setting a powerful example for the nation by launching these forward-thinking projects. Our focus on technology, sustainability, and healthcare will empower our communities, especially our youth and women, to thrive in a rapidly changing world.” A cornerstone of the 2025-26 agenda is the promotion of advanced technology training through the establishment of AI and Robotics Labs. These labs aim to equip students with foundational skills in coding, robotics, engineering, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, preparing them for a technology-driven future. On June 25, 2025, the first such lab was inaugurated at Anand Vihar School in Bhopal, a collaborative effort by all Inner Wheel Clubs in the city. With a project cost of Rs. 4 lakhs, the lab is expected to benefit 3,000 students annually. Mrs. Mahipal announced plans to replicate this model across Madhya Pradesh, ensuring broader access to cutting-edge education.
Environmental sustainability is another key focus, with the Association committing to plant 100,000 trees nationwide, inspired by the Japanese Mewa Waki method, which emphasizes dense and diverse tree planting for ecological restoration. A Mega Plantation Camp held in Khanugaon, Bhopal, on June 25 saw 200 trees planted, marking the launch of this nationwide campaign. Additionally, the Association is addressing the growing challenge of electronic waste through dedicated e-waste management initiatives, promoting responsible collection and disposal practices.
Healthcare access is being revolutionized through the establishment of a Medical Equipment Bank in collaboration with KAAR-E-KHAIR. Inaugurated on June 25 in Bhopal, the bank provides critical equipment such as wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, ICU beds, suction units, toilet chairs, oxygen concentrators, vaporizers, massagers, walkers, bed sore mattresses, and IV stands. Valued at over Rs. 15 lakhs, this initiative is projected to serve more than 1,000 patients annually, offering vital support to underserved communities. The Association is also rolling out Health ATMs to facilitate essential health check-ups, further bridging gaps in healthcare delivery.
Mrs. Mahipal underscored the Association’s commitment to combating thalassemia through targeted awareness campaigns aimed at prevention and eradication. Another significant health initiative is the administration of at least 60,000 cervical cancer vaccinations, a landmark effort to safeguard women’s health across India. These programs reflect the Association’s holistic approach to community welfare, with a special emphasis on empowering girl children through education, health, and skill-building opportunities. “Our initiatives are designed to create lasting impact,” said Mrs. Mahipal. “By focusing on technology, sustainability, and health, we are not only addressing today’s challenges but also building a foundation for a brighter, more inclusive future.” She urged Inner Wheel members to align their efforts with the Association’s vision, fostering innovation and collaboration to maximize reach and impact.
The press conference highlighted Bhopal’s role as a hub for these pioneering projects, showcasing the city’s Inner Wheel Clubs as leaders in driving social change. The AI and Robotics Lab, Mega Plantation Camp, and Medical Equipment Bank are expected to serve as models for replication nationwide, amplifying the Association’s impact. The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, a longstanding pillar of community service, continues to inspire transformative change through its network of dedicated members. With a legacy of empowering women and uplifting communities, the Association is poised to reach new heights in 2025-26, touching the lives of over 100,000 beneficiaries through its visionary programs.
