Weather News and Forecast for Haryana NCR Delhi

Weather expert Dr. Chandra Mohan stated that the monsoon activity in Haryana NCR Delhi is not consistent. Monsoon activity particularly depends on the low pressure areas forming in the Bay of Bengal and the monsoon trough, which is currently positioned south of its normal position over southern parts of Rajasthan. Today, the monsoon trough line is passing from Jaisalmer to Chittorgarh through central Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to the Bay of Bengal, along with a cyclonic circulation over eastern Rajasthan. This will result in significant monsoon activity in these areas. However, the monsoon will remain weak in Haryana NCR Delhi for the next three to four days, with only scattered light showers expected in limited areas.

Delhi Weather Forecast - Humid and Sweaty Heat

Due to the prevailing moisture in the entire region, people will have to endure humid and sweaty heat. Occasionally, western disturbances energize monsoon activities in Haryana NCR Delhi. For instance, good rainfall occurred in the western and southern districts of Haryana NCR Delhi over the last three days. Another western disturbance is expected to become active on July 11, which might normalize the monsoon trough, potentially reactivating the monsoon in Haryana NCR Delhi.

Delhi Received 14 Percent Less Rainfall Last Week

From June 1 to July 8, Haryana received a total of 72.1 millimeters of rainfall, whereas the normal rainfall for this period is 83.9 millimeters, showing a 14% deficit. Districts like Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Jind, Rohtak, Sonepat, Panipat, Charkhi Dadri, and Faridabad received below-normal rainfall. The people in these areas are eagerly waiting for monsoon rains, while the remaining districts recorded above-normal rainfall so far.

This indicates a decrease in monsoon activity in the northern, eastern, and central districts of Haryana, whereas the western and southern districts have seen an increase in monsoon activity. Today, only scattered light showers/drizzles were observed in Haryana NCR Delhi during the day. The daytime temperatures in most parts of the state ranged between 30.0°C to 36.0°C, while the nighttime temperatures were recorded between 23.0°C to 28.0°C across the state.
